In Search for Signs of Spring

I heard what Groundhog Phil predicated earlier this month but, we decided to spend our Winter Break in search for signs of Spring!  We searched high and low!

We found a bird in search for food in one of our trees.  Do you see the bird?

My child LOVES finding bird nests.  Or how as he use to refer to them, "birds mests."  With the trees as naked as jay birds we found several.  Do you see the "blue" stuff the bird used for her nest?

Some of our trees are starting to bud.  Safely nestled among the tiny redish flowers was another bird's nest. I love the colors here!

And, another bird nest with some interesting white netting?

With March weeks away our Daffodils are starting to show.

Another sign of  spring, look at our hydrangea budding!

Even though it's mistletoe it does add a bit a spring green to our barren trees!

Chris just LOVED me taking pictures of what he calls "weeds!"  But I see purple flowers!

Our redbud tree is showing signs of spring against the true blue sky!

More of our buds!

Those of us that loves our warm weather are never really too far from signs of spring and summer!

- Enjoy!

Rainy Days at My House....

Recently we had a day off from school due to the weather conditions.  Here is how my little one entertained himself since he couldn't go outside and play.  He put on his "lab coat" (an old dress button-up) and his googles.  Then he got his microscope and started investigating the slides to see if there were any evidence to help us solve the crime!
Just like CSI he entered his findings into his play laptop.
And then I got the "Mama!"  Then he said, "Follow me Calleigh we need to investigate the crime scene."
Enjoy!

Walk on the Wild Side

You have got to check out this local artist's work!  I would call Brandon Godwin a Modern-Day Renaissance Man.  Not only is Brandon a Wildlife Artist but, he is an Architect as well.  I was thrilled when he asked me to photograph his artwork.  He has just launched a new website featuring his work on stationary, note cards, and coasters.  To see more of his work visit his site at http://www.brandongodwinstudio.com/ .  You may remember Brandon and his wife Ashley from my blog.  I photographed their engagement and wedding  last summer.

These coasters are beautiful! They are made out of imported Botticino Marble!

These note cards and pads are of exceptional quality.

Here you can see more of the detail of his work. It looks so real!
I love the quail and blackberries. Two of my favorites!

Visit his site and share with others.  I know he would be grateful!
-Enjoy!
