Yeah!!! My Photo Won a State Award!

Many of you know that I have a full-time job as the Parent-Community (Public Relations) Relations person for our local schools.  With my job I promote all the great things our students and staff are accomplishing through many different medias such as press releases, publications like newsletters and our website. (Just to name a few!)  I am in an out of the schools almost daily photographing students and teachers.  Each year the Georgia School Public Relations Association, of which I'm a member of, holds a Publications, Photography, and Electronic Media Awards Contest.  I wasn't able to make the conference October 18 and 19 but, learned I had won an award for my photography!  I received two gold certificates for two photos I entered in the contest and one I titled, "Sliming for a Cause" won Best in Category for Photography! I was super pumped about being recognized with this state award and as well having our system recognized again at state-level. Here's my trophy I received in the mail yesterday.  I wish I could show you the photo but, I'm not able too.  It is on our system website in school photos.

Stay tuned!  I've got lots to post - pictures from two family Christmas Card Sessions and from my trip to Cancun and the beautiful resort where we stayed!
Enjoy!

Carson Turns Two!!!

Happy Birthday Carson!  We recently celebrated Carson's 2nd birthday.  His mom Kelly did an awesome job putting the party together and check out the cake she made!!!  I told her she's ready for Ace of Cakes!  Of course I had to get me a slice and it tasted as good as it looked!
I love the expression on his face here!  He was EXCITED over getting money! Smart boy!

Carson's sister took a tiny nap while big brother opened all his gifts!

It's so much fun watching children open gifts!  You can capture the best expresssions!

GI Carson!

Make a wish!

And... my favorite picture of the day!  He's on a sugar high!

We took some family pictures that day but, you'll have to wait to see those.  They are being saved for Christmas cards! I had a great time! - Love, Lydia

Stay tuned!  I have some awesome family photos coming.  I'm in full swing with Christmas card sessions.  I still have some sessions open if you are interested!

Blonde and Blue Eyes X Two!

I love taking pictures of these two!  They remind me so much of my dear friend, their mama.  Anna Lee and Clay are two beautiful blue-eyed blondes!  Their mom wanted to have pictures taking of them so she could have them painted into portraits for her living room.  We think we have some good ones here!  What do you think?  I love the scenery in both pictures.
I had fun guys!
-Love,
Mrs. Lydia

O.K. I'm about to show my age.  But, doesn't she look like a Breck Girl?

So sweet!

This is one of my favorites.

No, I think this is my favorite!

Isn't he a handsome dude? I love his feet in this one.

Love the location here and the look on his face.  He looks alot like his brother Steven here.

This was a great one of him!

Such a fine young man!
Thanks Jill!

Miss Cali

Meet Miss Cali!  Doesn't she have the prettiest eyes?  We met at the Country Club for her pictures and had a blast.  This cutey pie battled the hot sun and gnats for her photo session.  I think she did a wonderful job!  I hope you enjoy her pictures. Thank you Brittany and Grandmama Janet for asking me!  I had lots of fun!
- Enjoy!
Lydia

I love this picture.  She's busy checking out her chair. I love capturing children just being themselves!

A penny for your thoughts!  She was really studying something interesting in this picture.  I love the look on her face!  Precious!!!

Love her little expression in this photo!

Miss Cali was stricking a beautiful pose here for me!

This was the cutest outfit!

She has the sweetest smile!  As my mama would say, "She's smiling with her eyes in this picture!"

Sweet baby!

A Party to Remember....

was recently asked to take pictures at one of my friend's mother's 80th birthday!  What a treasure!  All her children were there along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many others.  What a blessing.  Here are some photos of the affair. Take a look here at the cake Debbie made for her mom!

Here's Debbie with her mom, and her daughter Christina and her granddaughter Erin.  Four generations... what a blessing...what a legacy!  And look at the expression on all their faces?  Their all the same!!!

I love this picture from the pigtails to the holding hands!

Isn't this sweet??
Thanks Debbie for letting me be a part of your family celebration.  What a blessing it was!

Stay tuned I've have pictures of an adorable 9 month old to share next! Christmas Card Sessions are in full swing!  Let me know if you are interested soon!
