Surfer Dude Turns 5!

My surfer dude recently turned the big "5"! He selected his party theme and of course a pool was required. A special thanks to Jim and Rhonda who allowed us to party at the W.A.S.P. pool. I think everyone had a great time. We appreciate all his friends and our friends for coming and helping us celebrate the joy God has blessed us with!
- Enjoy! Lydia

And like every great party- you have your party crashers. Luckily they kept their distances.

And for entertainment we let the kids to play with a snake. Did I mention that I once worked for DFCS?

The sand and surf birthday cake! Very EASY to do!

I know boys are suppose to be described as handsome but, I can't help it, he is just pretty!!!

My outgoing, talkative child gets stage fright everytime we sing "Happy Birthday" to him. Look at the expressions on his face. I can read his mind! He did this when I brought cupcakes to his class at school.

I think they liked the cupcakes or as Andrew says at times, "pupcakes." I think he does that on purpose just to see if I'm going to correct him.

Gift time! I get so tickled at any child's party when it's time to open the gifts. It's like a swarm of honey bees. I just love it!

I can't tell you how much I love my child's friends. We are very close to all the parents and I feel like each one are my own. Here I am talking with one of his friends. We are very blessed to have such great friends and that are children are so close.

Boys Will Be Boys!

My friend and co-worker, Kristie asked me weeks ago to take pictures of her family that her brother was coming to town! Kristie and her family do not get to see her brother but only every two to three years. He and his family live in Japan. He has four beautiful boys and two of the boys spent the summer between Kristie's house and her parents. When her brother arrived he brought the oldest boy with him. You can see how much fun I had with this shoot. Being a mom of a boy I loved Kristie's nephews energy and funny faces! I've posted some of my favorites here! Enjoy!
-Lydia

Kristie's mom found some locust bugs on some of the oak trees on the courthouse square. The boys were fascinated by her discovery!

I love watching interactions between brother and sisters! It makes me miss my younger brother! I had to include this photo of Kristie's brother picking at her. I know it must be hard not being able to see each other every two to three years.

More of Jordan and Justin!

As promised here they are! They are such a fun couple to be around. I wanted to include here some photos that crack me up! You never know what Justin is going to do next. He kept Jordan and I laughing. They had a beautiful morning wedding and had a huge crowd. I have more pictures posted on my website with a special featured gallery for the happy couple. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of such a beautiful wedding. I wish you both many, many years of happiness. May God bless you both!- Love, Lydia

We took some posed pictures before the wedding ceremony in the fellowship all with them and their cakes. Here's Justin being Justin as we were getting ready to leave and hide from the guest before the ceremony.

To me children make a wedding! Love it! I crack up every time I look at this picture!

Good brunch food and cake!

This is so neat! I am SO into family traditions!! On Justin's mother's side of the family it is a tradition for the females to write down their information in this family bible. In fact Justin's mom carried this with her flowers in the wedding. I just LOVE it!!!

I have to give credit where credit is due. My wonderful husband took this picture, if fact if you look closely you can see me getting a picture from the other angle.
